    Custom HH '6 Way' - HH Strat Wiring Harness

    We have built the Obsidian 6 Way HH wiring harness for Stratocaster with DUAL SC (SPLIT COIL) so you can enjoy the full output and clarity of your humbuckers, AND switch them in to 'Split Coil' mode for lower output, single coil goodness.

    DUAL SC (COIL SPLIT)

    Turn your humbuckers in to single coils. To add true versatility to your guitar we build in Obsidian® Dual SC, allowing you to split your humbuckers in to singlecoils for lower output, more dynamic tones.

    Obsidian® Dual SC is built in to your volume control using a push/pull pots, so no extra mods are required to your guitar.
    - Requires split coil compatible humbuckers

    CRYSTAL CLEAR TONE

    Retain clarity at lower volumes. To make your tone crystal clear at lower volumes we include an Obsidian® Custom spec treble bleed mod. This prevents tone 'muddiness' at low volumes by allowing high frequencies to pass along a separate path to your amp, rather than being stopped short by the increasing resistance at the volume control.

    I bought this wiring harness to go with Railhammer humbuckers, partly because the pickups also needed an upgrade to 500k pots. The simplicity of the coil splitting for an HH setup is terrific, the sound is phenomenal, and the installation was easy enough for a complete newbie to carry off.

    Hello - I am the person who left a one star review on 1/20/23. I never did get around to completing this project with a competing product. Then recently I saw that OW had re-engineered and improved the product as I (and no doubt others) had suggested with the push pull pot in the bridge tone position. I went ahead and purchased and installed with no fuss no muss at all. Sounds great and works as advertised. Thanks to O Wire for listening to feedback and improving their already great product line.

    I found the install would be easier if the connection block faced the other way and not crammed up against the pots, making it hard to know when the cable was in deep enough. Other than that it was a breeze, and the unit works perfectly
